One Heck Of A Blot

So a while ago I got a message from shmee asking me about face powders, specifically translucent ones, and if I'd found any I thought were good. So far I hadn't at that point. Of course, being the good friend I am I went out on a search for what I could call the best on the hight street. And, naturally, I decided that rather than texting her about it I would make a post.

I've already talked in a previous post about Soap and Glory's makeup and how lovely it is. But this pressed powder has to be one of their best products I've used! One Heck Of A Blot is a translucent pressed powder which leaves skin looking matte, soft, and silky smooth.

The product comes in a little compact with a mirror and an applicator all ready to go. Usually I leave whatever the brand has supplied me with in favour of my own brush, but in this case I didn't. I find that using a brush with this powder doesn't leave the same effect and can end up making you look slightly cakey. A little definitely goes a loooooong way with this powder! Only one light layer is needed to keep you looking fresh for a good number of hours! In addition, I've never used a powder that leaves my skin not only looking soft, but feeling soft as well!

Of course, Soap and Glory isn't the cheapest of brands you'll find on the hight street, but I assure you it's worth the £12 it sells for. In comparison other brands I've used which were cheaper did not have the same affect. One in particular had an awful cakey look to it and constantly needed to be adjusted and reapplied throughout the day - but I'm not here to complain about other brands! I'm here to tell you that if there's one powder you need in your makeup bag, it's Soap and Glory's One Heck Of A Blot!

Callie
