Emotional Soup

*
*Warning!! This post contains some small spoilers!!*

So I'm currently going through a crazy whirlwind of emotions and from experience, I can tell you...it's really not fun.

I am currently sat in the sun room writing this whilst I'm supposed to be doing that dreaded thing of revising. It's just dawned on me that I have less that three weeks to complete my Art and English folios as I'm going away on a Geography field trip just before the Easter holidays. I'm stressing out and panicking inside but I just can't find the motivation that's needed which is worrying me even more! Sitting doing past papers for other subjects is scaring me because I'm realising how reliant I am on my notes.

My exams this year are probably the most important as they determine whether I'll get into uni or not and then confirm what conditionals I will need to get in sixth year. So kinda a big deal. I just can't seem to get my arse in gear and it's frustrating me that I just can't seem to stay concentrated for long enough to get things done.

Enough of all that though, what has really turned me into an emotional mess this weekend was looking back and remembering Friday night.
Yesterday morning Dad and I drove back from Glasgow after an amazing night at The Hydro. Hormones and PCD (post-concert depression...that feeling that you get the day after going to a concert) don't mix and I'm suffering badly. It was my second time seeing the McBusted boys and even though I wasn't as close as I was last year, we still had pretty good seats and I managed to choose the right microphone again (Tom's one) when they moved onto the little stage! It was quite similar to last time as they played McFly and Busted's big hits, as well as new McBusted songs and old songs from both bands (such as 'One for the Radio' from McFly and Busted's '3am'). The staging was set out like an arcade machine (the band now hold a record for building the biggest functional arcade machine in the world!) and of course the DeLorean was part of the show. Oh and Tom's wife Giovanna and their baby boy Buzz (after singing happy birthday to Danny for Thursday the crowd then continued and sung to Buzz for his 1st birthday!) and Harry's wife Izzy were there too! Buzz couldn't stop smiling and waving to everyone and Izzy and Gi were lovely and spoke to some of the fans as well as taking selfies with them (my phone ran out of memory and battery :'( ) I wont go into too much detail about the show in order to avoid spoiling it for others going or in fear of shedding a tear or two. I know you're probably hoping for photos and/or videos (you will get to see them at some point if you really want to, just let me know in the comments!) but right now I'm avoiding looking through them...sorry!

But one thing I can say...If you get the opportunity to see McBusted, even if you're not a huge fan of them, buy a ticket. Go on, trust me...it's worth it! They know how to put on a show, they know how to get you up dancing and singing your heart out, and they know how to make it the best night of your life.

  3. Take care with your revisions. Remember to take breaks, and scheduling which or each, plus testing yourself, helps a great deal to understand what you would like to remember or find hard getting to learn. Anyway, glad you enjoyed going to that concert. Sounds good.

  4. It sounds like you had an awesome time! Hope revision goes well- I like to set myself little targets (e.g. do 10 maths questions an hour, or a French essay before breakfast) as it helps a bit with motivation ^.^ Good luck! And listen to movie soundtracks to keep you sane if you're doing a lot of work- they're designed to not distract you from the film and this also works with revision <3
