The 'Almost 100 Questions' Tag

So for the past week and next I have been on study leave for my prelims (or mocks as they are know elsewhere). I have supposed to be "revising" but it's fair to say there has been a lack of that going on. Instead, I have found many different ways to distract myself from the task in hand...so much so that I found this tag on tumblr and youtube and thought "hey why not? Haven't done one of these before." (you can probably tell that writing is also something that there has been a lack of...sorry!)

Yeah so here's the 'Almost 100 Questions' tag!

Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
How ever they are left that day? Usually closed though.

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
Who doesn't?! Technically they are yours too take and did you know that in some hotels, if you ask for more they will give them to you free of charge? It's not like I've done that before...

Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
I don't actually have sheets on my bed. I can't stand them and I always end up tangled up.

Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
Surprisingly that's not something I've found myself doing.

Do you like to use post-it notes?
Annoying bits of paper that don't stick to anything...yeah no thanks.

Are coupons still a thing these days? Knowing me, yeah I probably would do that.

A big bear as it's only one thing to deal with rather than thousands!

I do, although you can only ever see them in summer.

All the selfies can't be the same :P

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
No but as a kid I used to count how many stairs there was in different places.

Have you ever peed in the woods?
On DofE there was no other options.

Nope, I survived three days without needing...TMI? ;P

Nope however I do tap pens against my lip when I'm thinking (haha very funny...I do know that it's a rare occasion)

What size is your bed?
Queen? Possibly King (big enough for two if you get what I mean ;)...right I really need to stop)

To be honest I've never really been a fan of cartoons...sorry!

I know it's bad but I rarely have time to eat breakfast...but pancakes are definitely the winner!

What is your usual bedtime?
After what's on the telly? I have to get up at ridiculous o'clock for school as I live so bloody far away (which sucks) So I try to go to bed at around half 10 although I'm usually on my phone till much later!

Are you lazy?
What a stupid question that is ;P

The only one I haven't watched was Emerdale...I went through an EastEnders phase but stopped when (spoiler alert) Bradley fell off the roof, I watched Corrie on and off over the years but have stopped since Tina also fell off a roof. But Hollyoaks will always always always be my favourite!

#NoMorePage3

*
"The world and its moral perspective have moved on and we think its time the Sun did the same and bought it’s readers with it." NMP3 HQ

So it was announced on Monday that The Sun had finally listened to thousands of campaigners and had stopped printing pictures of topless women on page 3 of the newspaper.
The campaign was set up by Lucy Anne-Holmes in 2012 when she wrote a letter to editor Dominic Mohan regarding page three of The Sun newspaper (you can watch a video where she explains her reasoning behind it here

Page 3 sexualises women to the point where they are seen as objects and not people. An unrealistic perception of beauty was created as the majority of the models featured all looked the same. The result of this was, and still is, that many young women had begun degraded themselves and believed that because they didn't look like these glamour models that they weren't beautiful or perfect therefore began to hate their appearance.

Don't even get me started on the use of photoshop...I will save that for another day.

Thousands of people support #NoMorePage3 such as teachers, feminists, parents and young women like me as well as many celebrity supporters such as Russell Brand, Jennifer Saunders and many ex-topless models such as Samantha Womack. The shocking stories from other ex-models can be found on their website as well as letters to The Sun
If you are interested there is also the petition which you can sign to share your support of the cause.

But unfortunately it isn't gone for good as it was back on Friday and still features online and in digital copies.
When will The Sun realise that times have changed!

Black Tied

Just before my birthday last year I discovered the brand Black Tied on twitter and instantly fell in love with some of their pieces. For those that know me would have noticed that I never tend to wear jewellery other that a pair of diamante studs and my little "E" necklace. Yet there was something about this jewellery that drew me in. I was looking for a simple yet effect long chained necklace for a long time before spying this one on their website and I knew it had to be mine! The lovely ladies over at Black Tied sent me a little treat of a discount code for partnering with them on this post.

As I said, I bought this just before my birthday, but after going away completely forgot where I put it! I found the little gem when I moved round the furniture in my room just before new year.
New Years Eve...what better time to showcase my new favourite necklace! I received compliments all night about it and pretty much everyone asked me where it was from. Unfortunately the only photos I have currently of me wearing it aren't great quality as my camera died just before I took the photos. Although keep and eye out; no doubt you will be seeing more of it in various outfit posts!

Check out the website for yourself over at http://www.blacktied.co.uk/ and let me know if you decide to purchase anything from them in the comments below!

It's more than just music...the experiences

*(credit)
It would be an understatement to say I wasn't a fangirl.
Not one of those obsessed ones who practically stalk celebrities though.
I adore live music, there's no better way to listen to it then live from the artist themselves. It's my drug, what I get a buzz from and where the adrenaline takes over. Over the years I have been lucky enough to go to many concerts that I've lost count!
(Apologies that this post is so photo heavy! They best quality photos were taken on my Coolpix P520 and the others were take on my old camera)

The band I have seen the most is definitely Mcfly- I think it's been 5 or 6 times! Growing up I live in Trinidad for quite a while and the only music I knew was what my parents listened to (a lot of Robbie Williams!), Britney Spears and S Club 7. When I moved back to the UK the first ever album I bought was Room On The Third Floor and since then I've loved those McFly boys (good choice 7 year old me!).

For the past two years I've been to The X Factor tour (James Arthur and Sam Bailey's years) when it's come up by me. These are fun to go to as it's a mix of people so there will be something for everyone.

Fun fact for you- I have see Shayne Ward live on his own tour. Yes that guy off The X Factor that no one can remember. A girl who lived up the road from me invited my neighbour and I along with her when we were about 10 but apart from that I can't remember anything about it.

My first standing concert was Plan B's 'Ill Manor's' Tour. His support acts were Labrinth and Rudimental and we managed to get right at the front! If you ever get the chance to see Rudiment, take it, do not turn the opportunity down. even if you don't particularly like them they know how do put on a good show and guarantee will have you jumping around

The Tartan Gig is a concert exclusively for Guides and members of Senior Section. In the past I have been to 3 of these gigs as a Guide and have seen so many artists both current and new. Here's a quick list; Alesha Dixon, The Wanted, DJ Ironic, Twenty Twenty, Scouting for Girls, the Lumintes, Loveable Rougues, Pixie Lott, Cher Lloyd, Amy MacDonald, Gabriella Aplin, Rewind, Stooshe, Conor Maynard and Little Mix. And I'm going back again this year!...It's just one of the many benefits for being a member or Girl Guiding!

Being a fan of boy band The Wanted was an emotional roller coaster but that's a different story. I saw the lads at the first Tartan Gig I went to back in 2010, this was just before they released 'All Time Low' and clearly were very popular at that gig as the screams were so load the music couldn't be heard even by the band on stage! The second time I saw them was on their first arena tour 'The Code' and the last was on the 'Word Of Mouth' tour or what was changed to 'The Farewell Tour'. Looking through the photos from that night almost brought a tear to my eye as the chances of seeing them again are very slim.

Prior to The Wanted, JLS were my "band-of-the-moment". I used to really want one of the blue hoodies! When they came to Aberdeen they used the walk way so even though my seats were on the back stand for half the concert I was eye level with them. Oh and there was a flying car.

Is it bad that the thing I love the most about seeing Jessie J live was her inspirational speeches rather than her musical performances? Don't get me wrong, she was absolutely phenomenal that night!

May 15th 2014 is a night I will never forget. Not only did I see McBusted live but I was pretty much front row...in the OMFG zone between the main stage and the catwalk. I'm not gonna say anything more about what happened that night as when I've told people in the past they've been quite horrible to me about it therefore I'm going to keep them as my memories.

Goodbye 2014...Hello 2015

Image curtsy of Sprinkle of Glitter

Resolutions are something I tend to always make but most definitely break...so why not follow tradition and share what happened last year and what I hope to happen (give it three months!) this year...as well as update you on a few things!

Last year I set myself waaaaay too many things to accomplish as the list goes like;
Eat healthier - I know, so inventive
No more sweets, chocolate, crisps and fizzy drinks (lollypops and Cadbury Bourneville as exceptions) - I actually did quite well with this one!
Read before going to bed - technically sometimes I did, but in the dark on my kindle so not the best
Leave my phone outside my room at night - ahahahahaha
Look after my skin better - whoops forgot about that
Blog more - I'll let you be the judge of that one
Learn how to drive- I turned 17 on the 20th October and still haven't sat behind the wheel of a car (I'm not making excuses here- I genuinely have been busy of weekends and when I get home from school it's been too dark :/)

This year I have been a little more reasonable with myself;
Again I'm going to try cut out sweets like haribo, only have dark chocolate, crisps made from potato etc and fizzy drinks unless out for tea as ordering something other than lemonade is too much of a faff sometimes.
For my birthday I received a smoothie/juice maker, I plan to make something at least once a week!

I've never had a serious break out of spots on my face which I guess I'm quite lucky for but I do suffer from blackheads! I have tried so many things to attempt to get rid of them and nothing seems to work- this year I'm gonna find the solution. Got any ideas? Please leave them below!
This is more of a bucket list type thing rather than a proper resolution but it's to take more photos and capture those little memories which can be easily forgotten.
The final one - decide what I want to do with my life. Ever since summer people have always asked me what I want to do when I leave school and my reply is always "Hopefully go to university but I don't know what for". After a while it gets annoying having to repeat this phrase over and over so this year I want to get my head around what I actually want to study when I leave school and where I want to go to do it.
2014 had it's ups and downs in terms of blogging but this year I'm going to try keep on my A-game. I realised that I don't have to write about certain things and be tied down to one style. This year I'm going to write the blog I wish I had discovered growing up, tell stories and give advice, and just write about what I want to no matter how strange to some it may seem.

In other news, changes that will be happening around here on my blog is hopefully a new layout that I actually like and want to keep! I've never been happy with the way my blog looks as its too this and too that. But I don't know how to change and edit it properly that I'm 100% happy with it. Hopefully, some of my friends who know what to do and know how to do anything on photoshop would be willing to help me out and create a new design for 'ezzlepops'.
One of my blogging friend's, Carolyn, and I have had an idea for something exciting that (fingers crossed) will be happening in 2015 - we will need your help, but more on that later!
I have a new series that will be going up later this month that hopefully you will all enjoy, relate to and find useful!

Did you succeed in 2014?
What are your resolutions for 2015?
Any tips or links regarding designs, please do not hesitate to leave a comment or drop me a message!
